About the Journal

The African Journal of Accounting, Finance and Banking Research (AJAFBR) is a peer-reviewed research journal that provides a publication outlet for practical and theoretical issues related to Africa.

This journal is interested in country or industry specific issues that relate to accounting, economics, finance and banking.
As a result of the need for enhanced development in the African continent, special consideration will be given to papers that not only highlight problems such as financial markets malfunction, dearth of funding for development, high rate of poverty, negative impact of governments' and central banks policies etc. but also proffer solutions and make targeted policy recommendations.
This AJAFBR attempts to encourage scholars, academics and professionals to engage more in Africa-related research and provide a forum for the exchange of ideas.

The journal publishes the highest quality articles in all business related disciplines especially in the areas of accounting, economics, finance and banking disciplines. The journal welcomes manuscript submissions from scholars, bureaucrats, and professionals everywhere.

Responsibilities of Editors

Maintaining the integrity of the literature published in the journals is the responsibility of the Editors. To this end the Editor and Editor-in-Chief are responsible for correcting errors or observations of significance, issuing retraction where necessary and addressing concerns from authors and the public. The Editor-in-Chief and Editor must ensure fairness, timeliness, thoroughness, and civility of the peer- review/editorial process and working with the Publisher to ensure the attraction of the best manuscripts and research that will be of interest to readers. The Editor-in-Chief of GLOBIP Journals is entitled to carry out decision-making in consultation with Editors, reviewers and together they will make such decisions regarding accepting papers, rejecting papers or authorizing the author(s) to re-write the manuscript and resubmit. The Editor-in-Chief must submit articles to electronic services to verify originality. They may submit articles to the journals on the understanding that their submissions will be reviewed by independent reviewers, not connected to them, and they will make no contribution to the decisions to accept, reject or to re-write and resubmit the manuscript. The Editor-in-Chief and Editor must ensure that this system prevails.

Corrections and Retractions

Ethics violation complaints and reported errors will be promptly investigated. Where necessary, we will publish corrections, issue an apology or retract the article. The corrections will be available on the journal website. Please note that minor typographical or grammar errors are not grounds for corrections.

Misconduct of an author or any violations of the Ethics policy and Authors’ responsibilities may lead to article retraction

Retracted papers will be replaced with a page stating the title author(s) and reasons for retraction on the GLOBIP website only.

Archiving policy

Articles will be archived as soon as they are published.

Articles will be made available on a website for public viewing in the event Global Business Investments and Publications LLC stops publishing.

Archived articles will not be deleted.
